Weekly News and Updates

This week has been a fairly quiet period for the club with just the one runner, Mulsanne Chase who went to Yarmouth but the race went too quick with most of the main pack not getting a look in. He already has another entry for Leicester this week and we hope he will come on from his last run. Looking ahead we have a busy week approaching with 4 different horses entered and the pending Royal Ascot entry to be made this Thursday!

Horses Overview

Toolatetodelegate has a few options having been entered for Chepstow and Bath, trainer Brian Barr will look at both options this week and we will close down one entry depending on his preference. She is in great form and will hopefully run another strong race this time out.

Haats Off will make her much awaited Royal Ascot Entry this Thursday! We have all been waiting for this to open and as per my announcement this week we will ballot the names on the entry day and inform you accordingly. We are already speaking to the course about options to get all members in that do not make the ballot and we will know by Thursday what options we have.

Robin De Broome heads to Worcester on Monday, the track and trip will suit him and this is the first run he will of had for the club on conditions better suited for him.

Call Sign Charlie is looking at an entry to Stratford next week on the 19th and we will inform you as soon as the entry opens. This run will see her achieve her handicap mark over hurdles and then we will begin some stalls work with her to give us the option for the flat also.

Machiato continues to improve at home and we eagerly await Brian’s decision on a future race.

Zamalight is heading to Southwell on Tuesday where trainer Olly Murphy is hoping for a much improved run from him.

Rocket Ronnie is also looking to an entry at Stratford next week and as soon as the entry opens we will update the events calendar.

Archie is back cantering following his recent injury, he was given the all clear from the vet and even taken off his antibiotics early and will be back to full work again very soon.

Mulsanne Chase ran at Yarmouth, the race went too quick at the start and lots of horses in the middle were caught out by this and never really got in to the race. He is a horse that wants to go up in trip and we are also going to school him over hurdles this week. He has his entry at Leicester this week where we hope to see him improve.

Prairie Light + Foal continue to do well and we will hopefully get some videos uploaded of her soon.

Additional Club News:

The stable visit date to Richard Spencer has been confirmed as the 21st July, the events page has been updated to now allow you to register for tickets to this event, the event is not balloted, you will all be able to attend but by registering this gives us an idea of numbers so we can plan the morning for you. Newmarket is a fascinating place and a must see for all horse enthusiasts. We hope you can make a weekend of it and attend the races that are happening the Friday and Saturday and also a trip to the museum is a must. Further details of this event will continue to come out as we approach the date but please register if you are able to attend.

With 4 races this week could I just remind you that you can withdraw from an entry online if you can not attend, by managing your own entry this ensure others do not miss out on free places. Where we have over subscribed races we will always do our best to make arrangements with the courses for reduced price tickets.
