Weekly News and Updates

Well what a week ahead, I honestly will never tire of saying that and it pleases me that we have built such a phenomenal racing club in such a short space of time. With 5 entries already made and another 3 pending! Yes that is correct this coming week will potentially see all 8 of the clubs horses that are in training run. And to top the week off we have our first annual race day at Stratford which is free to attend for all our members and their guests. As one of our members recently commented “wow, just wow!”

Horses Overview

Toolatetodelegate heads back to Bath on Wednesday where we hope this time to improve on her close 2nd last time around. She is in great order and is knocking on the door every time.

Haats Off now has her entry at York on Friday, In the Class 1 (Listed) Marygate Fillies Stakes! This is very exciting news and we have to give full credit to Brian Barr and his amazing team to have trained such a forward filly.

Robin De Broome ran at Fontwell last Wednesday and while the ground conditions have improved he needed this run to improve his fitness, Tom Garner commented that they went flat out from the start and he tried to creep in to them but they quickened away from him but he did jump very well and will come on for the run. We are hopefully also looking at an entry at Worcester next as that track should suit him better.

Call Sign Charlie heads to Towcester on Monday, this i her first run over hurdles and the small field will help her focus and will give her the experience she needs. She will also be looking to run at our race day on the 20th.

Machiato has his eyes set on Wincanton, we are hoping for a bit of rain as we do not want Firm ground we need it to be good to suit him, such a big powerful horse needs the conditions to be just right.

Zamalight has 2 entries, Sedgefield and Wincanton, I spoke with Olly Murphy who looks to be favouring Wincanton so please keep an eye on the declarations.

Rocket Ronnie is fit and well and we are looking to make his next entry at Stratford on our race day.

Archie is eager to race and we are looking at an entry to Either Newmarket or Thirsk on the 19th. We will know more Monday once these entries open.

Prairie Light + Foal continue to do well and we will hopefully get some videos uploaded of her soon but on occasions we have visited the weather has been terrible and they have been inside.

Stratford Race Day – 20th May

This weeks see us head to Stratford Racecourse! The weather looks good and mainly dry for the rest of this week and if you can believe the weather App then Sunday looks to be a pleasant day too. Many of you have applied via the website which is great as this makes it easy but i also have a list from those who applied previously and will email you all Monday to confirm your allocation prior to posting them out.

There are a total of 7 races with the first race commencing at 2pm and the last at 5:10pm the gates open at midday and we would encourage you to arrive then as we are aiming to get all the clubs horses to Stratford and parade them around 12:30. This will give you time to see them all up close and ask questions of the trainers and team.

Following the parade you will be hosted in our private pavilion where again you will be able to meet other members, our sponsored jockeys, trainers and members of the team while enjoying a day full of racing. We are providing a free buffet throughout the day and complimentary drinks for you and your guest to enjoy.

More information will be sent this week so please keep an eye out for your notifications and events page.
