Two races entered and the big announcement!

I don’t think I will ever get tired of saying this what another crazy week it has been for the club and its members.

The big announcement

With the introduction of Olly Murphy who is training our new horse Zamalight and Richard Spencer who will be training our other new horse Archie, we are fulfilling our promise to become the leading horse racing club in the UK.  Our trainers are not only amongst some of the best in the industry but the new locations will provide our members with the opportunity to attend some exciting stable visits.

Jockeys Week Ahead

Dave

Monday takes Dave to Catterick for two rides for trainer Henry Oliver.

He will be serving a two day suspension for excessive use of the stick on one of his rides last week so wont be riding again until Thursday where he heads to Leicester for a couple of races.

Friday sees him at Sandown and Saturday takes him to Wincanton or Ascot depending on the horse declarations.

To round the week off Dave will be in Ffos Las.

Tom

Took a trip to see Olly murphy on Monday, a last minute decision as Tom was in the area however it meant that he got to sit on one of the newest horses Zamalight that according to Tom is in great form and will be ready to run in the next ten days.

Members don’t forget to log in to be able to read the Jockeys blogs.

So on to the week ahead for the horses.

Spikes Princess and Idyllic head to Chelmsford on Thursday, we haven’t done a lot of hard work with either filly since their last run in order to freshen them up andthey both go there with solid each way chances.

Machiato received the go ahead from our team of vets to resume work on Monday after receiving an injection in his back, he’ll have a week trotting before we start him back into full work.

Haats off continues to please and is strengthening up every week, she’s plenty forward enough and we look forward to running her when the flat season begins, she’ll start her stalls work next week

Robin De Broome ran as if something was amiss at Towcester, we’ve scoped him and taken his bloods etc and nothing has come to light, he was in front and jumping well before folding tamely, so we will put it down to the bad ground, he’s in good order and we’ll wait for some decent ground now.

Zyraet, she’s cantering away but needs handling accordingly as she’s quite highly strung, she’ll be a nice prospect given time.

Toolatetodelagate is in great order and continues to work well, she will miss her  engagement on Monday due to a touch of a sore back, nothing serious but enough to cause her some discomfort, she’ll have an entry before the end of the week and the time between races won’t be lost on her as she’s been pretty busy recently.

Zamalight is fit and well and we are looking for an entry before the end of the month. Trainer Olly Murphy is pleased with her progress and we are looking forward to her debut for the ClubArchie has settled in extremely well since arriving at Albert House Stables. He has been doing routine daily canters and our trainer Richard Spencer said “I’m very happy with him he will hopefully start stepping his work up over the next few weeks getting him ready for his racecourse debut for us towards the end of March”

There will be plenty more news to follow.
